Software Engineer Apprenticeship

On this degree apprenticeship, you’ll spend three years building some of the world’s most advanced software tech. Taking advantage of state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll enjoy lots of technical training, classroom learning and job shadowing. So, as you work towards a BSc Honours degree, you’ll also get practical insights into how we use tech to keep the country safe.

Infrastructure Engineering Apprenticeship

An 18-month apprenticeship working towards an Infrastructure Technician Qualification. If you have a passion for IT and are enthusiastic about developing your technical skills, why not earn a salary whilst your training is paid for?

Administrative Officers

Our Administrative Officers work across a variety of departments each offering a range of roles providing essential support to our officers. This is an ideal role for a school leaver, people coming back to work after a career break or those looking for a change of career.

The Service Desk Analyst role in MI5 is an excellent opportunity to start your career in IT. You will be integrated into our growing first line support IT team, being the first point of contact for IT related requests from a range of stakeholders.

Apprenticeships at MI5

After seeing the exceptional quality of many apprentices following their training, MI5 are investing in growing their apprenticeship programmes. Initially we will begin offering more apprenticeships in technology, but hope to expand our apprenticeships into other areas including commercial and operational roles, in due course.

I didn’t want to go to uni or college, I wanted to be more hands-on and get paid for it!
