Vetting Officers
Vetting Officers carry out extensive and thorough interviews with potential recruits and existing staff to explore everything about them before carefully making a decision about their suitability to hold the highest form of security clearance necessary for government positions, Developed Vetting (DV) status.
Procurement Professionals
Our Administrative Officers work across a variety of departments each offering a range of roles providing essential support to our officers.This is an ideal role for a school leaver, people coming back to work after a career break or those looking for a change of career.
Agent Handlers
Our Agent Handlers work covertly with agents who provide information critical to protecting national security. Agents are not employees of MI5 but people who have information relating to threats facing the UK that we would not otherwise have access to.
Administrative Officers
Our Administrative Officers work across a variety of departments each offering a range of roles providing essential support to our officers. This is an ideal role for a school leaver, people coming back to work after a career break or those looking for a change of career.
Auditors
We employ Auditors at all levels to deliver risk-based audits across a number of business areas including operational, security, financial and organisational risks.
Occupational Psychologists
Our Occupational Psychologists are involved in a wide range of activities that play an important role in ensuring we find and keep the right people. This includes clarifying role requirements, creating job descriptions, designing assessment centre materials, auditing and advising on internal selection processes and designing recruitment campaigns. They also advise, guide and train assessors, managers and the recruitment teams on areas such as fairness, consistency and best practice.
Lawyers
Our Lawyers find practical solutions to complex legal problems and deal with high profile litigation. They advise colleagues in relation to highly sensitive investigative and operational matters and are involved with legal challenges covering the full range of MI5’s responsibilities.
Drivers
We recruit a variety of Drivers. Our Mail Van Drivers are responsible for the secure transportation of mail and equipment for official purposes between various sites. Our Fleet Drivers transport cars, vans and other specialist vehicles of varying size between our offices or to outside agencies for maintenance. They also prepare vehicles for use and carry out routine maintenance checks.
Information and Records Manager
MI5 and MI6 are looking for dynamic record managers who are passionate about extracting maximum value from our information and developing tools, practices and policies.
