Threats and Advice

Threat Levels

The majority of our work is secret: that’s how we can stay ahead of our adversaries to keep the country safe. Where necessary, we share information in order to inform the public about the threats the UK faces, and what they can do about them.

The Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) sets the UK’s national terrorism threat level and the threat level for Northern Ireland-related terrorism in Northern Ireland.
